Gerald Cotton, FACHE
Gerald Cotton, FACHE is Executive Vice President – Regional Networks and is responsible for developing network relationships with hospitals and physicians in Baptist’s secondary market for growing premier Affiliate Network and developing Critical Access Hospital Network. Previously, Mr. Cotton held the position of President/Chief Executive Officer at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center and Executive Vice President of Baptist Health System from 1997 to 2009. During this time Mr. Cotton was involved in the planning and completion of a $20 million project to construct a Medical Office Building on a 55 acre campus, completed planning for $80 million main campus facility expansion based on inpatient/outpatient growth, facilitated planning and construction of a $20 million comprehensive cancer center and completed construction on a new medical office building with 53 physicians.
Gerald Cotton completed his undergraduate studies at Mississippi State University and his graduate studies at the University of Alabama in Birmingham in Healthcare Administration.
Mr. Cotton is a member of the Alumni Association of Graduate Program in Hospital and Healthcare Administration at UAB, Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives, and Chairman of the Retirement Oversight Committee, Mississippi Hospital Association.
