Regent’s Message: Winter 2018

Posted: March 8, 2018 at 3:04 pm   /   by   /   comments (0)

Hello, ACHE members! I want to begin my first Regent’s Message by thanking two of our outgoing leaders who served us well, Dodie McElmurray, FACHE and David A. Muns, FACHE. Dodie served as Regent and was an excellent liaison between our Chapter and ACHE. We wish Dodie well in her new role as the COO at West Jefferson Medical Center in Louisiana. I also want to thank Dave Muns for his leadership and the encouragement he provided as our Chapter President. I am excited to continue working with Dave during his tenure as Past President on the Board. Both of these wonderful leaders have done much to improve our Chapter, and I want to offer my personal thanks to both Dodie and Dave for a job well done!

Please join me in welcoming our new Chapter President, Chandler Ewing, FACHE. I have known Chandler for several years and I am confident he will be a great Chapter President and will continue to build off the great work done Dave accomplished with our Board.

Speaking of recognizing leaders, during our Winter Chapter meeting on February 9, it was my pleasure to recognize several of our Chapter members for their contributions to ACHE:

– David Muns, FACHE, Chapter President, 2016-2017

– ACHE Service Awards:

o David A. Muns, FACHE, Vice President, System Development, Memorial Hospital & Physician Clinics
o Chandler Ewing, FACHE, Chief Executive Officer, Select Specialty Hospital in Jackson

– ACHE Distinguished Service Award
